Faces in the Dark: A Sculpture Series
Distorted portraits that look back at you a little too long.

Faces in the Dark places distorted heads at the edge of recognition. From across the room they appear calm; up close, their pinched mouths and displaced eyes turn portraiture into an unstable encounter.
The surfaces reject polish. Finger marks, seams and rough repairs remain visible, making each sculpture feel handled, revised and unable to settle into a final expression.
Low directional light changes the works continuously. Shadows complete features that the material only suggests, so the viewer becomes responsible for part of every face they see.
The series is unsettling because it does not present monsters. It shows identity as something assembled under pressure, always one shift of light away from becoming unfamiliar.
Collector of strange images and forgotten scenes. Believes art is a way of questioning the world, not decorating it.
